I moved quickly, my feet light as I ran through the forest. The world is a blur as I run, my eyes darting from one side to another as I try to take in as much as I can. I used to know this forest once; now it seems different.

As the drone gets closer, I duck, my eyes trained like a cat squinting in the dark while my breath comes out laboured.

“Katniss! Katniss!”

I reach for the communicator and press the button. “I’m in.”

There is silence on the other end. “Good. Find him.”

I think of Peeta.

So much power in so few words! I love it when drabbles and other shorties come out like this!

I missed The Hunger Games the first time around -- couldn't get pass the whole hunting thing --, but when I saw this while searching for older posts to review, I couldn't resist. I'm quite glad I did.

I also wish I could finally get to hear/read the ending of the series. I was listening to the audio books while driving before my radio started malfunctioning. :( I actually ended up very much, surprisingly, liking Peeta/Katniss. She really did have a hard time having to choose between those two!
