"Give it back, House," Wilson said with a wave of his fingers.

"Aw mom, do I have to?" House mock-whined and poked out his bottom lip, the joint he'd snatched from Wilson's desk dancing between his fingers.

Wilson nodded and wagged his fingers again. "Yes."

House turned to face Wilson, leaning on his cane and pondering his friend. "How about we make a deal?"

"I'm not making a deal to get back something that's technically mine." Until he hands it off to his cancer patient. Honestly, he should be used to this by now - it happens every time he has to prep his patient's medical marijuana. Every. Time.

"You used to be a lot more fun, Jimmy."

Wilson sighed. "Why don't you find someone who will prescribe you the stuff and you can smoke it whenever you want?" He looked up from the last joint he needed to roll. "I don't know why you care. You don't have a problem with illegal drugs. Go buy some and leave me alone."

House frowned. "Did you just advise me to commit a crime?"

"It's not the first time."

Now he wagged a finger at Wilson. "You're a terrible influence."

"You started it," Wilson responded with a snort.

Grinning, House held the joint out for Wilson to take back.

"Keep it. I rolled an extra one."

House tucked his new little friend into his jacket pocket and crutched his way out of Wilson's office. "See you at lunch."
