Oh wow, I really love this! It's so evocative and clever, and perfectly fits the poetry format! NGL my first thought was 'wow this makes me wish there was poetry about Australian environments' but lol that presumably does actually already exist?? I might have to go try and look for some now though - thanks a lot for putting that thought into me!

The obvious starting point is Dorothea Mackellar's My Country. The second stanza is possibly one of the widest know stanzas of verse here. *g*
