...I hadn't even realized there WAS an age difference between versions--now that I've looked, I'm a bit annoyed. While I'm guessing the age differences are so they'd seem more age appropriate for a Western audience (I think Ringabel DID go drinking at one point or make reference to it), it bumps up his age difference from Edea by two years. Which kind of explains why the age difference seemed weird to me when I first saw it; I had guessed they were two or three years apart (which fits the JP version) and was surprised to see it was five (according to Western ages). I kind of want to just make him 21 now and call it good, haha.
