Summary:Sometimes the Doctor is both coming and going at the same time.

The Doctor finds himself returning to New New York. He's careful, never allowing himself to be seen by Martha or Rose or, more importantly, by his former regenerations. He and the Face of Boe never talk, but he spies on Novice Hame caring for her charge as the last of Boekind uses his life force to power the city. It's hard to watch, for a second time, as he dies. His former self is mourning; he notices a second witness in the shadows. He offers a knowing nod to Jack, receives a salute and cheeky grin in response, and smiles.
