Notes: This is a re-pod of my very first podfic (from 2007), and wow, how my reading has changed. The original is here, if anyone is interested, although I kind of want to hide my face when I listen to it. My characterization of Caroline has also changed since then, and this version of her makes my heart ache.

I loved listening to this! All the voices were excellently characterized, but the voice of the wind was especially chilling!! Loved the snippet of song. <333

Oh, thank you! I liked the way the voice of the wind came out, too. And of course, I take every opportunity to sing. *g* The song is actually thematically apt: it's "The Bonnie House of Airlie", which is about Airlie getting invaded by an enemy while only the wife of the house is home and the husband is away.

Don't you dare hide your original podfic! I know the sound quality isn't the greatest but it's a favorite and I've listened to it hundreds of times.

But it was great to listen to this new version. You're right, your reading and your characterizations have evolved and it's brought new meaning to this version.

And all right, I won't take down the original. It's funny, because I don't feel like this about my writing? I mean, rereading my earliest stories, there are maybe some things I'd do differently now, but they don't make me want to hide my face like my early podfic does. Ah well. I'm glad you like this new version, anyway! It felt like a fun thing to make for the Do-Over challenge.
