Emily rolls her eyes and scoffs, tossing the formal invitation on the table. Her mother wants her to attend a charity gala with her. One that Emily knows the Ambassador doesn't actually support and is just attending for appearances. Emily would much rather spend the evening with her family, and JJ will support her decision. JJ also grew up around an absent mother, so she understands the need to be a better parent. Making memories with JJ, Henry, and Michael is a much better use of Emily's time.
